Know my work thoroughly, and avail myself of every opportunity to expand my knowledge and understanding of my profession. Practice fairly and equitably with clients, clearly explaining my responsibilities and basis for fees relative to each assignment. Represent my client with zeal within the bounds of the law and consistent with his / her best interest in mind. Never impede or jeopardize an investigation or betray the confidence placed with me by my clients. Never allow personal feelings to interfere with the factual and truthful reporting of my investigation. Conduct all reports based on truth and fact and express only honest opinions. Never knowingly violate the rights or privileges of any individual which are guaranteed or provided by the U.S. Constitution, the laws of Municipal, State, Federal, or Foreign Governments. Comply with all licensing laws relevant to my profession as stipulated by Municipal, State, Federal, and Foreign Statutes. Cooperate with other investigators and / or related professionals by the exchange of information and experience as long as it is in the best interest of my clients. Never intentionally jeopardize the professional reputation, practice, or prospects of another investigator. Report unethical, illegal or unfair practices in my profession to the proper authorities for appropriate action.
